Buenos Aires, January 15 (NA) – The head of the national senators' bloc of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), Patricia Bullrich, announced this Thursday that there is another Argentine detained by the Venezuelan government, Roberto Baldo, who joins the gendarmes Nahuel Galloy and Germán Giuliani. The former Minister of Security stated that “political prisoners in Venezuela were underreported” and that “as in any dictatorship, real information is hidden”. “People are detained without due process, human rights are violated, and they try to cover up the truth,” she pointed out on her social media X account. “Today we learned about Roberto, another Argentine, who together with his wife are detained. Roberto is Argentine-Venezuelan and Montserrat is Spanish-Venezuelan. Both have been kidnapped by the chavist dictatorship since late 2024, and they remain there, in the dungeons of this criminal regime, like more than a thousand innocents,” indicated Trotta. “Today we raise our voice for them, as we raise our voice for ALL political prisoners who must be released, without exception and without conditions,” she concluded. “We are not going to let up until they all come back,” Bullrich assured. Bullrich learned of Roberto Baldo's captivity, who is detained along with his wife, through a post by Venezuelan-Argentine activist and founder of the Argentine Forum for the Defense of Democracy, Elisa Trotta. The lawyer and human rights promoter showed in her social media X account an image of the detained couple. “They are Roberto Baldo and Montserrat Espinosa de Baldo. We await their prompt release. Spouses. And we continue to insist on Nahuel and Germán.”
